I am conscious that when Members make a request for a Commencement matter they may not get the answer they want, but they should get the answer to the question they asked.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 66 of 66 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Before I call on the Leader to outline the Order on Business, it is appropriate to remember in the context of the Decade of Centenaries the events in Cork of just over 100 years ago. The families who lost their loved ones felt their loss then as their descendants do now. In their memory I read out the names of those killed: Michael O'Neill, Thomas Hornibrook, Samuel Hornibrook, Herbert Woods, James Buttimer, David Gray, Francis Fitzmaurice, Robert Howe, John Chinnery, Robert Nagle, Alexander McKinley, John Buttimer…
Before I call on the next speaker, I welcome Councillor Paddy McQuillan from County Louth to the Visitors Gallery. He is most welcome. I call Senator Clonan, who is leading off for the Opposition for the first time.
We will bring that message to Ukraine when we go there.
We are not opening up the debate now.
Could I just say that, as Senator Craughwell knows, in this Chamber the Chair is in charge of order. In committees-----
-----the Chair of the committee is in charge of order. What happens in committees is not the responsibility of this House.
In relation to any allegations of bullying or anything else-----
Senator Craughwell did. I want to make sure that people are aware there is a dignity and respect policy within Leinster House that applies to everybody: Members, staff and visitors, and if there are any breaches of that then there are processes around it.
I am conscious that we have a guest, who is of this House, but is present for our launch of Seanad 100. Senator Norris is waiting for us to launch the exhibition. I will allow Senator Dolan in for one minute.
Senator Sherlock has proposed an amendment to the Order of Business: "That No. 19 be taken before No. 1." It has been seconded by Senator Wall and the Leader has indicated that she is prepared to accept the amendment. Is that agreed? Agreed.
When is it proposed to take Second Stage?
Is that agreed? Agreed.
I have received the following message from Dáil Éireann. Dáil Éireann has passed the Birth Information and Tracing Bill 2022 on 27 April 2022, to which the agreement of Seanad Éireann is desired.
I have received notice from Senator Lynn Boylan that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter: The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, OPW, to make a statement on the use of non-established employment contracts in the OPW. I have also received notice from Senator Catherine Ardagh of the following matter: The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for special education and inclusion to make a statemen…
Before I call on the next Senator, I welcome our friends from Denmark, the Copenhagen executive forum, to the Senate and I thank them for coming.
Thank you for those beautiful sentiments regarding the great work of Canon Pat McHugh.
I do not know why you think that.
The Senator will not be around tomorrow, so I thank him for telling us. He will be promoting democracy in another format.
I call Senator Craughwell, to whom I apologise because I should have called him earlier.
