The Senator, without interruption.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 66 of 66 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

The Senator, without interruption.
The Senator's time is up.
I ask the Senator to stick to the allocated time, please.
There is a motion on the Order Paper regarding that particular issue.
I call the Leader to respond to the Order of Business.
I have notice from Senators Lisa Chambers, Erin McGreehan, Fiona O'Loughlin and Catherine Ardagh that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, they propose to raise the following matter: The need for the Minister for Justice to make a statement on the timelines for the publication and implementation of the new national strategy on domestic, sexual and gender-based violence in light of the recent tragic killing of Ashling Murphy. I have also received notice from Senator Malcolm Byrne of the following …
Glaoim anois ar an Aire Stáit.
I thank the Senators for raising that important matter.
Before I call on the Leader, I join my colleagues to express, on my own behalf and on behalf of the House, our sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of Ashling Murphy. It was a tragic loss for them and all the community. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam.
I welcome the Minister for Education, Deputy Foley. I also welcome the Chair of the Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Deputy Kehoe. I thank the committee clerk for all the work she has put into this initiative. This is one of the recommendations from a report on Seanad reform that we are implementing. This is the second instance where we have brought in the Chair of a committee and we are delighted that the Minister is here as well. Six to 12 months after …
I now call the Chairman of the Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Deputy Paul Kehoe. I thank him again for his work in putting this report together along with the clerk to the committee, Ms Tara Kelly. It is an important piece of work. It was done 12 months ago but it is very timely, given where we are in January with schools and Covid-19, that we look again at the recommendations the Chairman worked very hard to put together on behalf of us all. I thank hi…
There is no escaping us.
I thank the Deputy for outlining those ten key recommendations, the elements that have been implemented and those elements that are awaiting implementation. The proposer will be able to come back in again but in the meantime the Minister can address the issues that have been raised.
I apologise to the Minister for a bad scheduling error on my behalf.
I know that colleagues are questioning some of the format of this. As it is entirely different due to the fact that we have the Chair of the committee and the Minister here, it does not run in the normal format that we would all be used to. I know that Members are talking about education and the report itself but the motion is about the recommendations of the report and the report so I ask Members to continue to look at those recommendations. I thank the Minister again and colleagues for outlining the various modul…
Is that agreed? Agreed.
Cuirim fáilte roimh an Aire Stáit. Before we commence, I remind Senators that they may speak only once per amendment on Report Stage, except the proposer of the amendment who may reply to the discussion on it. Also on Report Stage, each non-Government amendment must be seconded. Amendment No. 1 in the names of Senators Boyhan and Craughwell is out of order because it was previously rejected by a committee of the whole of the Seanad.
I wish to be fair to everyone, so I remind Senators to please stick to the amendments.
Amendment No. 3 is out of order.
As it is now passed 11.30 a.m. I am required to put the following question in accordance with the order of the Seanad on Thursday, 16 December 2021: "That the Bill be hereby passed."
