On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 66 of 66 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I welcome guests of the Minister of State, Deputy Harkin, who I guess are from County Sligo. They are most welcome to Seanad Éireann.
I thank the Senator.
I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters: Senator Teresa Costello - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on measures being taken to improve access to lymphoedema services across Ireland. Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the establishment of a consultant-led air ambulance base to provide emergency cover for the west Clare area. Cuirim fáilte roimh an Aire Stáit.
And a safe return trip.

I welcome the guests of Deputy Noel McCarthy in the Public Gallery along with two work experience students, guests of the Minister of State, Deputy Richmond, as well as Lucan Youth Fun Group, guests of Deputy Gogarty. I do not know about their definition of fun but I am sure being in the Seanad must be high on the list of fun things to do in Dublin. I now call Senator Clonan.

Every Senator who comes in here has that obligation of doing both, so they have to take that into account when they are doing it. Senator Andrews, if he would like to continue.
Yes, I will give extra time.
As Senator Andrews has just pointed out, you can interrupt Senators when they are speaking and ask to be allowed to speak but not afterwards.
He had to learn that lesson the hard way.
