Please, Deputy, allow the Minister of State to speak.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 125 of 781 decisive votes (6 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Deputy, please.
Address the Chair please.
We will move on to Question No. 6 as the next Deputy is as láthair. I call Deputy Christopher O'Sullivan, or rather Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan.
The Minister of State might call in to Naíonra Chaisleáin Nua when he is on the road. Bheadh fíor-fháilte roimhe.
Just down theas, yes.
Question No. 9 is being taken by Deputy Alan Farrell.
Go raibh maith agat, a Aire Stáit.
There is absolutely near chaos in the education system due to the situation regarding school buses and tickets. What the Government thought was a great idea has really messed up the whole situation for many people including those with special needs. It is so frustrating that people who have tickets are not using them. The bus companies do not know how many passengers they will have. The Government promised this last November but has not done anything. Early in summer the Government promised to raise the age limit s…
What about drivers over 70?
When?
Did he visit?
The same as Carrick-on-Suir.
The Taoiseach is fairly used to the ditch.
I too, am pleased to be able to respond to some of the delightful speeches today from the Taoiseach, the Tánaiste and the Minister for Transport, the leaders of the triumvirate of parties that make up this Government, and their wonderful budget. They are playing mind games with the people. Everyone knows that like the previous Government, for the last two years this Government has not been serving the people. It is serving some other global masters and is not working in the interests of the people here. We have com…
I welcome many aspects of the budget, to be honest. I accept that. However, the Government is playing a very dangerous game with people's taxes and the extra taxes from foreign direct investment, FDI, companies. It is great that we have that money but it may not be there next year while the budgetary pressures will be. Those tax revenues may not be available in 2024 while demands on the budget will be. If the Government were a business, that would be a bad way to run it. The Government claims credit for initiatives…

I, too, am quite dismayed by this. I made the point known at the Business Committee today that we in the Rural Independent Group do not support this. It is a massive amount of money. I do not disagree with the concept; I am all for it. Surely, however, it merits more debate than two minutes per group. Why is it being done on budget night when it is not part of the financial resolution package? I know it is a financial resolution and a pretty substantial one, but it is typical of the way this Government behaves. We …
It is not agreed.
It is the same here; it is not agreed.
