On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 125 of 781 decisive votes (6 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.

Party over time

This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Ceisteanna ar Pholasaí nó ar Reachtaíocht - Questions on Policy or Legislation

I met a group of people today, mainly parents and siblings whose loved ones and family members are suffering with Lyme disease. It is time to tackle Lyme. They met the Tánaiste in 2015. They have met with so many people. All they want is quality of care and proper lab tests, which are available in Germany, to be recognised here. These people are getting old. They are parents and have adult children now. They are worried about their future because this is a long term illness. They want some quality of life, some tre…

Rising Rental Costs: Motion [Private Members]

I wish to continue on the same theme because my office is overrun with unfortunate people who are looking to rent, have notices to quit and cannot get properties, etc. We have a perfect storm here. We have parties on the left, and some on the middle left, that are demonising landlords. Some landlords are accidental landlords and never wanted to be. We cannot keep demonising the developers, builders and others as bad people. There were some rogues but there are bad apples in every area. All day today and yesterday p…

The licensed hauliers emergency support scheme, LHESS, is badly needed. I thank the Minister for rolling it out and for supporting the haulage industry, which needs it so badly. Like any scheme, there will be anomalies. Livestock hauliers are trying to be included in the scheme. Under the law, they are exempt from having a haulage operator's licence for their business. As a result, they are unable to apply for the LHESS. Many hauliers in Tipperary and all over the country are registered with the Department of Trans…
