Yes.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 41 of 930 decisive votes (9 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Yes.
She did not.
They are still up there.
John Donoghue is 15 years old. He loves boxing. He was due to fight for a bronze medal at the Junior World Boxing Championships in Armenia but was forced to withdraw because he was up against a Russian opponent. He is not the only one. A number of young boxers have been forced to withdraw and unless the policy is changed, a number will be forced to withdraw in the coming days. No other country is doing this, as far as I understand. This policy is not being applied to Israel. It is only being applied to Russian and …
Yes. I am opposed to giving €95 million of public money to the horse and greyhound racing industry. Compare it with the €15 million total in core funding for sports organisations in this country, including the FAI, the GAA, Swim Ireland, the Olympic Federation of Ireland and many others. It is a scandal. There is a lot I could say about the fact that much of this money for horse racing ends up in the pockets of the richest people in this country or about the more than 6,000 greyhounds killed annually because they d…
I raise the threat that Children at Risk in Ireland, CARI, will be forced to close after 34 years as the only national child sexual abuse agency. It has been told by Tusla that it will fund only 30% of CARI's over €1 million operating costs for 2024. It cannot fundraise enough to cover the rest. Therefore, unless the amount is increased, it will face closure. Child sexual abuse is not simply an historical problem. In the first half of 2023, there were nearly 4,000 cases of suspected child physical or sexual abuse. …
In the Taoiseach's talks with the French Prime Minister, I wonder if there was any discussion about what was then an upcoming decision by the European Commission - since made - to effectively tighten the screws on Palestinian aid when Gaza has been reduced to rubble and people are left without food, water, and fuel? In the aftermath of 7 October, the European Commission announced it would review Palestinian development aid from the European Union. It completed that review, which found that existing safeguards "work…
There has been a suggestion from the Government that the problem with the policing on Thursday night in Dublin was that gardaí are in some way hesitant about the use of force. That struck me as strange. They were not hesitant about using force against striking Debenhams workers, who were overwhelmingly women. They were not hesitant about using force against the community of Rossport, County Mayo, when it was standing up to Shell. They were not hesitant about using force against many anti-water charges protesters. T…
First, I send my thoughts and solidarity to the victims and the families of the victims of the stabbing attack. It is just horrifying and so nightmarish to think of children being attacked in such a way. In the response to that horror, we saw the very best of our city - Warren, Caio, Leo, Siobhán and others - people who were white Irish and immigrants coming together and putting their lives on the line to try to protect children. Our city and country should have now been uniting around the families of the victims i…
Will the Ceann Comhairle invite them in? There are pictures of them.
I move amendment No. 1 to amendment No. 1: To insert the following after "systems and structures to address these": "calls on the Government to: — introduce a Bill for a referendum to insert Irish neutrality and a policy of non-membership of military alliances and not allowing its territory to be used by other states to transport war material or personnel to third countries for the purpose of war or other armed conflict into the Constitution; and — close Shannon Airport to United States (US) military and US militar…
I welcome the increases to social welfare rates in this Bill and the additional one-off payment. Yet, neither are near enough to cover inflation, never mind lift people out of poverty. As People Before Profit said at the time of the budget, inflation is not a once-off. Poverty is not a once-off. Increases to social welfare must not be once-off either. Inflation is still running at more than 5% after two years of record-breaking increases. The latest figures from Kantar show that annual grocery price inflation is cl…
Last night, the South African Parliament passed a motion by a large majority to cut all diplomatic ties with Israel and to expel the Israeli ambassador from South Africa. The Dáil should have done that last week. We have another chance to do it this evening and we should take that chance. Instead of doing that last week, what did the Government do? It mobilised and whipped its TDs to vote it down but not just that. What did the Tánaiste, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and leader of Fianna Fáil do? After hosting t…
I mentioned-----
Did you attempt to go to Gaza?
I do, yes.
It was, of course.
Has Deputy Healy-Rae heard of Iraq or Afghanistan?
Can the Government not agree to that?
Shameful.
