Next Tuesday.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 356 of 361 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Next Tuesday.
Amendment No. 3 has been ruled out of order.
The Senator can speak to the section but not to the amendments that were ruled out of order.
Amendment No. 6 has been ruled out of order. I ask the Senator to speak to the section.
We are not on section 7 at the moment.
They did not speak to section 7.
They should not have.
It is up to the Minister of State. I just wanted to let her know.
It is up to the Minister of State if she would like to respond, but just not to section 7.
What is the Leader proposing? Unless there is a request I cannot adjourn early.
Is the Leader proposing that we adjourn now?
Is that agreed? Agreed.
When is it proposed to sit again?
I am thankful for the opportunity to contribute after Senator Boyhan. The Minister is very welcome. We all receive letters and go to people's doors, and we know we are in crisis. We are in the midst of two crises, a climate crisis and a cost-of-living crisis. As has been said, this legislation is one small part of a set of measures. This Bill came before the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Climate Action and many of us are members of that committee. We all agreed to waive pre-legislatiive scrutiny of the Bill. That w…
It is important to point out that many of these measures, including this one and the retrofitting measures, are all paid for from carbon tax revenue. When I hear the narrative about the hike in the fuel prices, it is often blamed on carbon tax, but we must be honest with people. That is not the case. A very small percentage of that is carbon tax. It is required to ensure we use a carrot to ensure we shift people into thinking a different way. For instance, only 2.5 cent of the 35 cent increase on a litre of motor f…
The Minister is welcome again. Many of us in the House were on the Joint Committee on Environment and Climate Action that has put this report together. It is appropriate, therefore, that we are discussing it in the Seanad. We are in a climate emergency. I know we say that a lot but time is upon us. Particularly in relation to these carbon budgets, there is a statutory time laid down by which they have to come before the Oireachtas. We had that in mind. It is important to go back to the climate Act and look at the f…
I welcome the Minister and our guests from Together for Safety. What Senator Gavan said is important. This Bill has been drafted by Together for Safety and the work that it has done in reaching out to all of us is welcome. When we operate on a cross-party basis in the Seanad, as we have on a number of issues, particularly with regard to women's healthcare, contraception, the stalking legislation dealt with yesterday and the new legislation about character references in sexual assault cases that was launched yesterd…
I was watching some of the proceedings from my office. I think there is an awful lot of purposeful confusion, dare I say. I am sure of what Senator Mullen is trying to do here. Fundamentally, he is voting against the Bill, which means it is not really these things that he has an issue with. We need to be all very clear on that. If there were clarity around that matter, would he vote in favour of the Bill?
No. Exactly.
These amendments will have to go to the Dáil anyway-----
