On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 72 of 544 decisive votes (6 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Who wrote that for the Minister of State?
In fairness.
The last time was 23 years ago.
I support our motion. I wish to raise a matter that relates to Dublin Central. The Chair might ask why a Corkman is doing so, but I have been asked by Senator Sherlock to raise the issue of Gaelscoil Choláiste Mhuire on Parnell Square. When will the sod turning for the school take place? As I understand the situation, it was to take place around Easter. The school has been in temporary accommodation for approximately 21 years, paying in or around €328,000 per year to rent a building. If the Minister or one of her c…
I support the amendment. Will the Minister indicate whether he will accept the amendment? If he does not propose to do so, will he indicate whether he would accept a Private Member's Bill or some other mechanism that would allow this issue to remain on the books?
Addressing the first grouping of amendments, particularly amendments Nos. 1, 2, 10, 20, 22, 23, 29, 30, 32, 33, and 36 to 44, inclusive, I wish to ask the Minister about the process for determining the rates of pay for domestic violence leave. What is the Minister's intention, having come from the Seanad, regarding the setting of regulations on the rate of pay for domestic violence leave? The percentage rate of pay is not specified. The sick pay rate is 70%. There is a worry, if it is going to be less than 70%, tha…
I accept the Minister's answer. The process by which one arrives at the point at which you set the rate is still unclear. It must be as seamless a process as possible. This has been debated extensively on Committee Stage in the Seanad and in this House. Will the Minister at this late stage give a clearer articulation - which I say most respectfully - of the process? We do not want a situation in which there are impediments to any person who wishes to seek domestic violence leave if, from a financial perspective, it…
I do not know who said it but the perfect is sometimes the enemy of the good. I think we all acknowledge that this is a very good start. I am coming back to the issue of process. If the Minister tells us he is going to start the process immediately upon the passing of this legislation and that there is a timeline for that process and if he gives us some indication as to when he feels ultimately the rate will be set, that would give a lot of confidence to people. We all welcome the fact that the Minister will devolv…
As we say in Cork, the Minister is being a bit cagey about it, like. He could come up with a little bit more.
The Deputy's time is up.
I apologise to Deputy McNamara. I think I tried to do him out of a minute inadvertently.
One moment please. There are one minute and 52 seconds remaining.
Please do.
I thank the Minister of State.
We move to a Sinn Féin slot. I call Deputy Funchion.
I ask that speakers are not interrupted. If they are not interrupted, we can all have a free-flowing debate.
I am conscious of the Deputies colleagues.
In accordance with Standing Order 80(2), the division is deferred until the weekly division time tomorrow.
I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Frankie Feighan - To discuss the need to establish Sligo Garda station as a divisional headquarters for An Garda Síochána. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae - To discuss the establishment of waste water treatment plants in villages and settlements where none currently exist. Deputy Jackie Cahill - To discuss the future location of the Office of Inspector of Pri…
