On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 45 of 448 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

They should be jailed but the Government gave them bail.
I will try to stick to my script in case I actually say something that might really offend somebody. Many political leaders reacted to the horrific attack on the children last Thursday by saying it was a shock attack that no one could have seen coming. Of course, this is untrue. Most of us with our heads not buried in the sand knew this was coming. Many Irish people have been unhappy with the state of affairs for some time. They have made their views known in dozens of peaceful protests and walks across the country…
The Government will let slip the mask and resort to the State's monopoly on force to enforce ideological orthodoxy through its hate speech legislation. Now, the eyes of the world are on Ireland. I do not believe the Government truly knows how much of a turning point this is. I fear for what will happen but let it be known that there were many chances for things to go differently but that the Government did not take them. Tomorrow's motion by Fine Gael Members is nothing short of disgraceful. The first mention of th…
Hear, hear.
I am calling for a debate on the latest report from the cryptic sounding Institute for Strategic Dialogue, entitled Uisce Faoi Thalamh: An Investigation into the Online Mis- and Disinformation Ecosystem in Ireland. While the parent institute was wholly unknown prior to the publishing of this report, the report enjoyed widespread media coverage over recent days in The Irish Times , Journal.ie and RTÉ, as well as featuring prominently on morning radio shows and in news reports. Little scrutiny was done by the media t…
Earlier this year, I called for a debate on Ireland opting out of the amendments to five articles in the international health regulations that were adopted on 27 May 2022 by the World Health Assembly. On that day, 194 unelected, unaccountable and largely unknown delegates to the assembly from WHO member states agreed on amendments to five separate articles of the international health regulations, namely, articles 55, 59, and 61 to 63, inclusive. These amendments are legally binding on WHO member states and do not r…
I appreciate the attempt at reassurance on where our health service is going to be going forward. However, it does not give me any comfort. The media has been entirely silent on this. If it were not for a few good people with their ears to the ground, all of Ireland would be ignorant of what is happening over on the Continent, where laws are being made which will drastically impact the lives of Irish people. We do not know who is making them, nor do we appear to have any say in the matter. It simply does not sit ri…
I raise an issue that came to my attention this afternoon when it was published on the Government website. It is the modular development plan announced by the Department of the Minister, Deputy O’Gorman. It is accommodation for the beneficiaries of temporary accommodation from Ukraine. There are 74,744 Ukrainians currently in State accommodation. Another 30,000 have sought alternative accommodation either by renting because they can avail of the rent allowance scheme or living with family or friends already here. T…
Hear, hear.
I call for the Minister, Deputy O'Gorman, to come to the House and answer the question of whether it is finally time to talk about immigration to this country. Is it finally time for all of us to talk openly and honestly about this, the most important issue in the country today? Is it time for everyone to come together and hash out some semblance of a workable plan, a logical way forward or anything approaching a coherent and consistent approach to how this country, and the Government, is going to handle the unsust…
I second the amendment.
I second the amendment. Section 18 allows for the secret tracking to be approved for up to------
Sorry, and amendment No. 23.
Yes. Amendment No. 22 proposes to delete lines 8 and 9 on page 16 and substitute "the name of the District Court judge and the date of approval". Section 18 allows for the secret tracking to be approved for up to three months, but potentially six months, subject to the approval of the District Court judge assigned by the Dublin metropolitan district. For ANPR to work, all number plate data must be logged. The pool of data is subsequently checked against a watchlist of number plates of vehicles of interest. The Bill…
