I thank the Deputy. I call Deputy Michael Collins.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 172 of 425 decisive votes (10 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

This is not a back-and-forth discussion. The Deputy should write to the Taoiseach.
Before we move to a motion without debate, I wish to make a brief announcement for the information of Members. As previously notified, Elaine Gunn's appointment as Clerk of the Dáil and Secretary General of the Houses of the Oireachtas Service was approved by the Oireachtas Commission on 21 October last year. Elaine's appointment is effective from today. On behalf of Members, I wish her well for her future in the role and I look forward to working with her.
I will begin with Deputy Malcolm Byrne. As there are 13 Deputies, I propose they take a minute each.
Thank you, Deputy.
