On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 172 of 425 decisive votes (10 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.

Party over time

This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Acknowledgement and Apology to the Families and to the Victims of the Stardust Tragedy: Statements

I am privileged to be here to address you today. As a Member of this House, I was only elected four years ago. I was nine years old when the tragedy happened. I cannot pretend to remember but I have felt everything that has been said through the inquest in the last number of days, as well as every name I have heard and every family that has been remembered, particularly those who are no longer here but also those whose lives changed forever, not just those lost in the Stardust tragedy. Many of you have fought for 4…

Coastal Erosion

I thank the Leas-Cheann Comhairle and thank the Minister of State for being here to respond to the Topical Issue. In fairness, there are two things, in particular, in County Wexford, that we should focus on with regards to erosion. The first is prevention. As we all know, a stitch in time saves nine. In the context of coastal erosion, this phrase is particularly relevant. Proper investment in a coastal protection plan along the coastline in County Wexford is badly needed so that we do not have to deal with this aft…

Coastal Erosion

I thank the Minister of State. I am glad he provided that to me because I asked the director of services for it last week, but I think he said he was going to play golf or something on Thursday. He did not manage to get it to me by this Thursday. The problem is that much of what we have discussed was set down in a report in 2018 and 2019. I went back over that report and six years later the problem has escalated to crisis management. The Minister of State talks about 70 m or 80 m, but I am talking about 100 km. If …

Ceisteanna ar Pholasaí nó ar Reachtaíocht - Questions on Policy or Legislation

I wish the Taoiseach the best of luck in his job. Wexford has a deficit in roads funding of €66 million. I raised this as a Topical Issue a month ago. It was taken by a junior Minister, who promised there would be engagement with the line Minister, but I have heard nothing. We have a deplorable set of circumstances. The roads are in an awful state. Many roads in the Rosslare and New Ross district do not have foundations. The problem is that I am to address a road safety conference for professional drivers this afte…

An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business

With regard to the motion on the European migration pact, it is imperative that we have a full and frank discussion. This can only be done where we have objective witnesses brought before a committee who can help us to establish whether there are constitutional or legal implications for the country and its people. I ask respectfully that the Chief Whip takes it back to the Business Committee and amends the motion to include expert witnesses being brought before the committee.

Can we amend the motion?

Contributions to what? It is just a Minister's briefing - from a biased Minister who has already said she approves of opting in.
