We could be here all day. The Deputy's time is up.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 172 of 425 decisive votes (10 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

We could be here all day. The Deputy's time is up.
I call Deputy Neasa Hourigan.
Deputies, please be fair to everyone.
I thank the Deputy. We have made up the time already.
The Minister has asked for a two-minute suspension or he will be as quick as he can.
The first issue I want to raise, which I am sure has already been raised, is that in the farming section of the Irish Independent a couple of days ago it was highlighted that the methane emissions from dairy cows are probably being overestimated. Similar reports appeared at the end of 2021 and in the summer of 2021 in the Irish Farmers' Journal . The study quoted in the Irish Farmers' Journal in 2021 claimed that methane emissions from dairy cows are approximately 30% less than the estimated figures used by nationa…
I thank the Minister of State for coming in. We are in the midst of a catastrophic crisis in child disability services. The lack of early intervention is detrimental to our children and will result in teenagers and young adults with extreme and complex medical issues and needs arising from the neglect of this Government and the Department with regard to continuing staffing issues. Although the Minister, Deputy Stephen Donnelly, is not here, he did recently meet a mother, Susan Dixon. She has sent me an email which …
I did not expect anything else and I am not saying that I doubt the bona fides of the Minister of State, but the answer is always the same. The answer is always just another network or it is a staffing issue, but we never seem to get to grips with the staffing issue in such a way that we would outsource it or consider critical skills permits. I have been saying this so repetitively on the floor of the House that even the Ceann Comhairle must be sick listening to me. An apology just does not cut it. As already state…
I have acknowledged that.
I appreciate that. I do not want to put a young boy of nine years of age in an uncomfortable position, but he wants to come here. I hope we will have resolved the matter by then.
Over the weekend, there were reports in national newspapers about a review by Transport Infrastructure Ireland of roads infrastructure under Project Ireland 2040 and the national development plan. One of the roads infrastructure projects that greatly concerns me is the final stretch of the M11 from Oilgate to Rosslare. The Taoiseach knows it is going to the most strategic port in the country and it would complete the eastern corridor from Belfast to Rosslare. Can he assure people that this project will not be long-…
A poll published the other day by Ireland Thinks in association with the Sunday Independent asked people which of the following issues should be the most important priorities to deal with. There was a long list of answers, but leading the way by far as the most popular two responses were the cost of living and housing. Instead of really getting to grips with them, the Government is wasting energy pursuing a climate change agenda at a rate of knots, with little regard for the costs, to appease a party that is now la…
I wish the Minister of State, Deputy Butler, a good evening and thank her for joining us. The Minister of State will be well aware of the child and adolescent mental health services, CAMHS, located in Arden House, Wexford. After a three-year absence of a child psychologist, I am glad to say an appointment finally was made in August last. According to the Government's A Vision for Change document, a full complement of staff, were it to be had, would comprise one consultant psychologist, which Wexford has; and one do…
As does the Minister of State.
I have to be honest with the Minister of State. The HSE is just not fit for purpose. The Minister of State mentioned that the HSE only wanted to audit the 46% that were ADHD. It would be easy to audit them when it is not actually seeing them. When CAMHS has not done an assessment for six months, what is it going to audit? The next thing it will be telling the Minister of State is that it will not do one for 12 months and it will audit that year, when there is nothing to audit. The reality is that CAMHS in Wexford h…
Is it for paediatrics?
There is much backslapping and a bit of lauding going on. I am going to bring the Taoiseach very much back down to earth.
Despite all of the things the Taoiseach has announced, nothing has changed in the sector for carers in home care support. I have stood here many times, complaining of the issue at hand, and that is that our carers are not available to deliver the home care support service. It is not all about the fact we cannot get carers. It is about the system in general. Despite the fact we have the best paid civil servant as the head of the Department of Health and we have three Ministers all appointed in the Taoiseach's time, …
A bad workman blames his tools. The reality is that recruitment is not the only issue. The Taoiseach has been saying that for two years. I have been elected for more than two years and I have been hearing it for two years. The lists are getting longer, despite the fact that-----
Yes. They are.
