Seanad Éireann · 2020-07-24
Party shown is the one held on 2020-07-24, frozen at parse time — not the speaker's party today.
I move: That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to reform Seanad Éireann within the terms of the Constitution and for that purpose to expand the franchise at Seanad elections; to provide for the establishment of the Seanad Electoral Commission; to provide for the repeal of the Seanad Electoral (Panel Members) Act 1947 and the Seanad Electoral (University Members) Act 1937, and to provide for related matters. When is it proposed to take Second Stage?
Built by scoring every sentence in the debate on how distinctive its language is, then quoting the highest-scoring ones back word for word and in the order spoken. Nothing is paraphrased or invented — if a sentence appears here, it was said in the chamber. Drawn from 89 words across 5 contributions by 3 speakers.
How often each word appears across the whole debate, ranked by how distinctive it is to this debate rather than common to all parliamentary language.
All 5 contributions, start to finish, in the order they were made. The one you came here for is highlighted.
