Summary of this debate

Auto-generated

I wish to announce for the information of the Dáil that having informed the President that Dáil Éireann had approved my nomination of Deputies to be members of the Government, the President on 9 April 2024 appointed them accordingly. On the same day, I nominated Deputy Micheál Martin to be the Tánaiste and assigned the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Defence to him. On 9 April 2024, the President also appointed Rossa Fanning SC as the Attorney General.

On a point of information, I ask the Taoiseach why he is appointing Deputy Eamon Ryan as Minister for the environment. No, that is not a point of information. He has destroyed rural Ireland, farming and everything else, and it is time he was moved out of there.

He has destroyed rural Ireland, farming and everything else, and it is time he was moved out of there. The Taoiseach had an opportunity.
