Apart from them, throughout Leinster House there are the ushers, the secretaries, the people manning the committees, the technical staff and the like, the catering staff and the bar staff. I thank the Leader, as Senator McDowell said, for his kindness and work, the Leas-Chathaoirleach for always being so helpful and supportive, and of course all the staff without whom we could not do our work. I am trying to keep people to time because there are a lot of people to bring in and we are under pressure of time.
This is something we need to look at, especially in rural areas where we need to retain the expertise of people who are desperately needed to look after people and extend their time in their own homes. I am looking forward to coming back in September to work on important stuff, as people outlined in their contributions, which we can get stuck into when we come back.
