The Government has undertaken comprehensive reviews of the private rental market and of the rent pressure zones rent control system throughout 2024 and 2025, which assessed the rental market generally, as well as the operation of RPZs since their introduction, their impact on the market and relevant stakeholders and the retention of landlords and attracting new investment.
