It recommends tax increases and some increases in PRSI. It recommends, for example, reducing the tax threshold for high earners and their very large pension pots.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 88 of 640 decisive votes (6 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

I raise with the Taoiseach legislation the House passed on Second Stage last December, in its final act of the previous session, namely, the Proceeds of Crime (Gross Human Rights Abuses) Bill 2020. I introduced the Bill which is what is known as a Magnitsky Act. It is designed to be able to react against people who are gross abusers of human rights internationally. In the context of what is happening in Ukraine, many countries are strengthening their Magnitsky legislation. Will the Taoiseach give support to the ear…
Will the Taoiseach come back to me on that?
We are happy to allow the Minister an opportunity to make his statement.
I welcome the statement made a moment ago by the Minister. It was important and timely. The Minister is right to underscore the report of the commission as a watershed. It is a pivotal moment. For many years, morale in the Defence Forces has been poor. Members of the Defence Forces feel badly done by, under-resourced, badly paid and in receipt of poor accommodation. A lot of hope is now vested in this process and it must meet those aspirations and expectations. I welcome the Minister setting out what he wants to do…

We should not be having commentary on a report that has not been published. It is important for the Minister to marshal and control the information before the report is finalised and publishe…

The Deputy should get over that. Move on to the motion.
Pay attention to the motion. People are suffering. People are hungry. People are cold.
Acting Chairman-----
The Deputy should pay attention to the motion. People are hungry and cold.
Lovely.
Talk to the motion.
The Deputy is not. He is abusing the motion.
Talk to the motion.
He is obliged to talk to the motion.
You are a disgrace.
Yes, we did.
The Deputy is a joke.
The Acting Chairman needs to do his job.
