On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 22 of 449 decisive votes (2 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.

Party over time

This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Corporate Governance

My question relates to the snapshot of large firms operating in Ireland as regards human rights principles. Some 50 of the largest companies operating in the Irish economy scored 30% or lower. Indeed, five semi-State companies scored less than one out of a possible 24.

Corporate Governance

I thank the Minister for the response and the communication. We need to improve the implementation. We had a plan that was in being, which theoretically was a good plan, but is out of date since 2020 and we are now in 2024. I would like a date for the next plan. I would like clarification on the stakeholders' forum. Has it sat again and if not when will it sit? I would like to know if the plan will be more focused in goals and timelines. Let us look specifically at what Mary Lawlor has said in relation to this. Mar…

Flood Relief Schemes

As we have a short time left, we will go back to Question No. 95 from Deputy Ruairí Ó Murchú. He will not get all of his time but he will get some of it.

Ceisteanna ar Pholasaí nó ar Reachtaíocht - Questions on Policy or Legislation

Last year legislation came into being, the Mother and Baby Institutions Payment Scheme Act 2023, but nothing has happened. That legislation followed on from a report that took five years to report. The Government got that report in October 2020 and it was published in January 2021. That had followed on from Catherine Corless's seminal work from more than a decade ago. Two years and a decade ago she published her article in the Journal of the Old Tuam Society. Here we are now 12 years later, five years after a repor…

Lá Fhéile Bríde - Pause for Peace

Táimid ag bogadh anois go dtí Ceisteanna ó Cheannairí ach, roimhe sin, mar is eol don Teach, is é seo Lá Fhéile Bríde, tús an earraigh agus an athfháis sa saol a caitheadh. Ní mór dúinn ceist a chur orainn féin cé hí an bhean seo a bhfuil clú agus cáil uirthi, 1,5000 bliain tar éis a báis cothrom an ama seo. Ó mo thuairim féin, bean láidir neamhspleách ab ea í nach raibh scáth ná eagla uirthi labhairt amach ar son na fírinne, bandia agus naomh araon, agus taithí aici sa dá shaol, an domhan Ceilteach agus domhan nua…
