On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 1,068 of 1,074 decisive votes (3 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.

Party over time

This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Gnó na Dála - Business of Dáil

The reason the voting block is not proceeding is that the Standing Orders as set out last week necessitate that it be taken in the convention centre where every Member can be present. There is an ongoing discussion with Deputies and parties on all sides of the House with a view to facilitating more business in Leinster House. However, because today's sitting is in Leinster House, the votes will be deferred until the voting block on Wednesday of next week.

Report of the Committee of Standing Orders and Dáil Reform: Motion

We all agree that we want to have as many sittings as possible in Leinster House. As a Government, we are going to work with the Opposition and everybody else to try to see that through. I understand there was no agreement on, or conclusion to, the discussion today on the proposals some parties have made. If we can reach an agreement next week, that should supersede what we are voting on today. This motion is simply to give effect to the facilitation of next week's business as an interim solution. As the Taoiseach …

An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business

I take Deputy Boyd Barrett's point. At the meeting of the Business Committee, there was a full explanation as to why Questions on Promised Legislation were not included this week. They will be included next week. There have been meetings on the legislative programme, which is being prepared, yesterday and today and there is to be another tomorrow and we hope to bring it to the Cabinet next Tuesday in order that the Deputy can ask questions on promised legislation. The intention is to have a relevant publication so …

An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business

We had a significant discussion and debate on this at the Business Committee. We facilitated a briefing, and an early draft of the Bill was sent to everyone with opportunities for amendments as well. We have also given a six-hour debate on Second Stage and have agreed to facilitate additional time for Report and Final Stages on Thursday. It is also important to say that there is priority required for this Bill. There are issues and further consequences around it not being progressed. We would like to see it progres…
