Senator Boyhan asked that I read into the record the response to the amendment he and Senator Craughwell tabled: Amendment No. 3, which establishes the Office of the Special Advocate for Survivors of Institutional Abuse on a statutory basis within nine months of the commencement of this Act, which would involve several costs. The amendment must be ruled out of order in accordance with Standing Order 42, as it has the potential to impose a charge on the Revenue.
