On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 462 of 465 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.

Party over time

This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business

I raise the issue of the incremental purchase scheme that opened in Limerick yesterday in Cois na Sionainne in Clonmacken. It is a very good scheme for those on the housing waiting list and those in receipt of HAP and RAS. Three-bedroom houses are available for purchase by people who are willing to go the extra bit and put their savings forward for the purchase of a home. They have the option of purchasing their forever home. It is the fifth scheme that has opened in Limerick. The four schemes to date have been ver…

They are accompanied by Ms Isabelle Kempeneers. I look forward to meeting them later. They are here this morning with our colleague, Senator Mullen. Statute Law Revision Bill 2024: Report and Final Stages

The Minister of State, Deputy Higgins, is very welcome to the House. I remind Senators before we commence that Senators may speak only once on Report Stage, except for the proposer of the amendment, who may reply to the discussion on the amendment. Each amendment must also be seconded on Report Stage. Amendment No. 1 is in the name of Senators Boyhan and Craughwell and arises out of committee proceedings. Amendments Nos. 1 and 2 are related. Amendment No. 1 forms a composite proposal with amendment No. 2. Amendment…

International Women's Day - Women's Health: Statements

I thank the Minister for coming to discuss this all-important issue of women's health to mark International Women's Day. There is nobody more committed than the Minister to resolving so many issues. I would like to raise a few issues with her. She referred to a few of them in her opening remarks. I campaigned on one of them during the previous Dáil and Seanad, which was the free HRT campaign. It was to be introduced in January but it has not happened to date. I know there was a shortage and there also have to be ne…
