I am worried that we are only on recommendation No. 7. We have ended up going through a complete housing debate.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 559 of 562 decisive votes (0 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

There are other relevant sections we will not get to.
If there was an alternative that was more beneficial to those in business, they would use it. However, there is no alternative to diesel at the moment. In talking the way we are, we are just wasting our time. The real solution for heavy use of diesel is probably hydrogen. Yet, we are a long way away from hydrogen being developed for use in heavy haulage or agriculture. It is fine to talk about these things. However, the reality for these people who depend on diesel for their daily income is that there is no alterna…
It is amazing that of the 41 recommendations from the Opposition in relation to this Bill, 36 are about reports and not one of them has sought any amendment to the actual Bill.
It is allowed. The only recommendation that sought to amend the Bill has been ruled out of order as it would have a direct impact on businesses, in particular seasonal businesses. It is disappointing that we have spent the past four hours talking about reports. Some 36 reports have been sought. Much of the information sought in regard to these reports is already out there if people are willing to look for it. All of the housing reports that have been sought are available to Senators on the Department's website. Sen…

Moreover, the Government has agreed a climate budget required to make a meaningful contribution to the global problem of climate change. As if achieving these tasks was not serious enough, we…
The original one was not working.
In the next slot, Senators Kyne and Dolan are sharing time and they have three minutes each.
The next slot is being shared by Senators Dolan and Carrigy.
The Senator has three minutes and Senator Carrigy has three minutes.
I apologise to the Senators who will not make it into the debate, but I must call the Minister of State.
Yes, unless we end up with more time, but we have already eaten into his time by six or seven minutes.
I thank the Minister of State. When the debate resumes, he is entitled to the balance of the eight minutes that we deducted from him today.
I welcome the Minister to the House. I wish to advise Members that this business will be concluded at 4.30 p.m. I remind them that a Senator may speak only once on Report Stage, with the exception of the proposer of the amendment, who may reply to discussion on the amendment. On Report Stage, each non-Government amendment must be seconded.
