Absolutely.
On prevailing side: this member voted with the winning side in 34 of 819 decisive votes (8 abstentions excluded). Read it as a government-or-opposition indicator rather than a measure of influence — the figure is near 100% for members supporting the government of the day and near 0% for those opposing it.
This is the point of the site: contributions keep the party held on the day, not the one held now.

Absolutely.
It does not have the capacity.
Palestinians are the oppressed, not the oppressor.
Is what agreed, sorry?
Should we not leave it until tomorrow?
It is all housing. It is better to leave it until tomorrow.
We are not going to get in all the speakers.
Agreed.
I cannot remember the last time we had a debate on the housing crisis, the rental crisis or the homelessness crisis when the Minister for housing stayed for even half the debate. There is a studied contempt - I have said this before but it is very clear now - for the Opposition and, most importantly, for the public affected by the housing and homelessness crisis, the rental crisis and the unaffordability crisis in housing on the part of the Government. It is quite extraordinary that, in the brief time he was here, …
I have been contacted this week by a number of families whose children go to the Discoveries Crèche and Montessori School in Shankill. I understand something similar has happened at the Discoveries crèche in Firhouse. The organisation has decided to pull out of core funding because it is inadequate and therefore the parents are being told they will endure a 28% increase in childcare fees. For one woman, this means her childcare costs for two children will go up to €2,000 a month. For another couple with three child…

May I raise a point of order?
It is a point of order. The Leas-Cheann Comhairle can tell me-----
The point of order is that 20 minutes are allocated to the Minister. Is that correct?
Twenty minutes have been allocated to the Minister in the context of introducing a Bill-----
The Bill is 700 pages long. Normally, the procedure would be that the Minister, as well as any general explanation, would take us through every section of the Bill. Maybe the Minister will surprise me and state that he is going to take us through all 541 sections of the Bill in his 20-minute slot, but I would be highly surprised if that were the case. It is just indicative of the lack of time and lack of opportunity for proper scrutiny by the House of this Bill of enormous proportions and of huge scope.
The Minister should take us through every section.
The Minister should be taking us through every section of the Bill.
This Bill deals with matters that are very important in the context of our society, the people of this country, our environment and many of the challenges we face. The latter include the acute housing crisis, climate change, the need to develop the infrastructure necessary to sustain our society and key matters like environmental justice and access for ordinary people to justice when it comes to planning and development and matters that affect them. It is terribly important to address these issues. On the face of i…
They are not doing that.
